Embracing God's Shake-Up

Change can be uncomfortable, even frightening. Yet often, it's through these moments of divine disruption that God does His most transformative work in our lives. Just as a tree needs pruning to produce better fruit, we sometimes need God to shake loose the dead branches in our lives - old habits, hurts, or mindsets that no longer serve His purpose for us. When we feel God stirring things up in our lives, our natural response might be to resist. We may feel secure in our familiar patterns, even if they're not healthy. But God's shaking always has a purpose - to make room for something better.

Bible Verse

"In the beginning you laid the foundations of the earth, and the heavens are the work of your hands. They will perish, but you remain; they will all wear out like a garment. Like clothing you will change them and they will be discarded. But you remain the same, and your years will never end." - Psalms 102:25-27

What areas of your life might God be trying to 'shake up' for your spiritual growth, and what makes it difficult for you to let go?

Prayer

Lord, give me the courage to embrace Your divine disruptions in my life. Help me trust that Your shaking has purpose, even when it feels uncomfortable. Grant me the strength to let go of what You're trying to remove. Amen.
